Our History

Founding

 Sparks Protection Services, LLC was established in 2013 in Pickerington, Ohio, by twin brothers Stan and Steve Sparks. Both founders had extensive military and law enforcement experience and were driven to create a security and investigation firm prioritized people---both clients and officers---above bureaucracy or profit margins. Sparks Protection treats our clients and officers like family. This inspired them to build a culture grounded company in respect, compassion, and hands-on leadership. 

Mission, Values and Initial Service Offering

From its' inception, the company adopted the guiding statement "Defending Those That Cannot Defend Themselves" emphasizing a client-first approach that seeks to maximize client outcomes by reducing risks, losses, and liabilities. Early offerings included:

• Armed and unarmed security services(on-site and event security)
• Private investigations
• Community-oriented security and investigations without cost for missions
  

Growth and Evolution

In later years, Sparks Protection Services has expanded throughout Central Ohio and neighboring regions, such as retail, healthcare, legal firms, hospitality, construction and special events. Key developments include:

• Training Programs: Developing an in-house curriculum covering de-escalation, situational awareness, and emergency response.
• Expanded Investigative Services: Building reputation among law firms, corporate clients, and private individuals through  background checks, evidence gathering, and missing-person investigations.
• Securing Varied Contracts: Landing engagements with apartment complexes, hotels, event venues, commercial properties, demonstrating scalability and adaptability.
• Leadership Team Growth: Bringing on experience manager for sales, operations, and client relations to support expanding workloads.
  

Today, Sparks Protection Services remains headquartered in Pickerington, Ohio, recognized as a regional provider of security and investigative solutions. Looking to the future Sparks Protection will be investing in technology and training to address evolving security and investigation challenges.
